Gui “Erasmo” Machado, a Brazilian artist based in Brooklyn unveiled on November 30th Erasmo’s new series called ‘Gravity Paintings’. Based on Earth’s force of attraction pulling the paint, the painting itself becomes an act of performance as he orchestrates how black and white paint moves on the surface. Invited in 2011 to show his paintings and photographs in a group show in Miami Art Basel. Gui Machado also exhibited his work in New York, Brazil as well as galleries in Europe....
